As mentioned, SofM is currently one of the largest shareholders of Vikings Gaming. This is one of the largest net cafe chains in Vietnam today, and it is also a place that has produced many players in various Esports disciplines, with SofM being a prime example. After many years competing abroad, SofM has returned to his homeland, and investing in Vikings Gaming may be one of his first activities to help promote the development of Esports in general and League of Legends in particular in Vietnam.

Notably, SofM’s Vikings Gaming has also acquired a spot from Saigon Buffalo with ambitions in the VCS. Additionally, since the news broke that Vikings Esports (tentatively called VE) would participate in the VCS 2024 season, many rumors have surfaced. The most interesting topic remains the team composition, with rumors that VE will recruit Kati from GAM Esports, while SofM will become the owner and also the coach. Of course, there are grounds for these rumors, but the principal remains silent.

However, recently, on the night of the transition from 2023 to 2024, SofM officially announced his role at Vikings Esports for the upcoming season. Accordingly, SofM will be a co-owner of the team, meaning he will have a say in internal matters related to VE, such as providing expert advice and recruiting players. This was somewhat predictable since VE will be owned by Vikings Gaming with SofM as a major shareholder. Moreover, if it concerns the Esports sector of Vikings Gaming, especially League of Legends, it is understandable for SofM to take charge.

Notably, in his comments, he also mentioned that he is ready to “do whatever the team needs.” Many fans joked that SofM might even “plug in his keyboard to compete” if VE needed it.

This will mark a significant transformation for SofM in the new year 2024 and could indicate the emergence of a real power that may be forming in the VCS. If VE can become a “giant,” it will surely lay a solid foundation for SofM to return to professional League of Legends in a completely new role.
