In just a few days, LCK matches will return. Over the past year, the LCK region has continued to prove its strength on the international stage as once again, a representative from the Land of the Morning Calm has claimed the championship, namely T1. T1’s achievements are even more admirable, showing that LPL still falls short of the LCK because they defeated all four LPL representatives on their way to the championship and only lost one game. T1’s victories also came from crucial BO3 and BO5 series, which were vital.

However, after exhausting days of battling, Faker has not had peaceful moments of rest. T1’s hectic schedule has caused the greatest Mid Laner in League of Legends to show signs of injury recurrence. For those who may not know, during a RedBull event in Germany, due to the freezing weather, Faker was seen constantly massaging his hand, causing fans great concern. In the previous season, T1 faced many difficulties after Faker had to take a break from competing, and no one wants this to happen again.

But that was not enough for Faker. Recently, during his latest stream on December 29, he revealed that he had to be hospitalized for food poisoning. According to Faker, he likely got food poisoning from eating oysters, and the pain was so severe that he claimed it was worse than when he had COVID-19. Faker even experienced a very high fever afterwards. Fortunately for Faker, he was likely treated in time and by December 31, the T1 player had fully recovered.

After the conclusion of the 2023 Worlds, T1 players have not really had a complete rest as they have to stream often and participate in T1 activities. Notably, not only Faker but Keria also mentioned that he suffered from an injury and had to exercise more frequently.

The 2024 season promises to be even more intense, as teams will now face T1 with the most thorough preparations possible. The journey is expected to be even more challenging, and perhaps fans can only hope that T1 players will always maintain their best condition if they wish to conquer the “Golden Road” in the new season.
