This led to SofM and his teammates dropping from the top 1-2 spots on the leaderboard to as low as 6th place when the group stage concluded.
With such a low ranking, WBG found themselves in the “death bracket” alongside formidable names like EDward Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, JD Gaming, and Royal Never Give Up. Apart from WBG, all these teams have at least one LPL championship under their belts. Moreover, they certainly can pose challenges to SofM and his team. 2 out of 4 of these teams (JDG, RNG) have crushed WBG during the LPL Spring 2022 group stage.
