As we know, after a period of temporary unemployment following the end of the 2023 season, Slayder surprised many by announcing his joining of Nigma Galaxy – the League of Legends team competing in the Arabian League. For those unaware, this is the League of Legends tournament in Saudi Arabia and is part of the secondary league system of the European LEC region. It can be said that Slayder’s choice has surprised many. Joining the Saudi Arabian league means that Slayder has nearly ended his career in international competitions. In the LEC, even if teams can get promoted, they may still struggle to compete with giants like G2 Esports or Fnatic.

However, up to this point, Slayder is proving that his decision to move to the tournament in Saudi Arabia was the right one. Not only due to the potential prize money (as Saudi Arabia is known for heavily investing in both traditional sports and esports), but Slayder also has the opportunity to compete frequently, and he has taken full advantage of it. Notably, recently, in a match between Nigma Galaxy and Anubis Gaming, Slayder even secured a pentakill. This pentakill marks the first time a marksman from VCS has achieved this in a domestic tournament outside of Vietnam.
Being able to use the “favorite” champion Kai’Sa has likely “unlocked” the marksman born in 2000. Moreover, despite the language barrier, Slayder has shown that he integrates well with his teammates. The players of Nigma Galaxy also provide the best conditions for the Vietnamese marksman to shine. Many VCS fans are incredibly excited to witness their home marksman demonstrating that the VCS can indeed produce quality players who compete honestly.

Although no longer competing in the VCS, Slayder seems to be feeling comfortable at this moment. The Vietnamese League of Legends community likely hopes Slayder can maintain his good form to prove that both he and the VCS are certainly not inferior and can shine in any environment.
