As is known, in recent days, the League of Legends audience in Vietnam has experienced a wide range of emotions regarding the negative allegations surrounding the VCS tournament. The announcements from the VCS organizers along with Riot have thus far only provided basic information about the handling process and decisions regarding the remaining phase of the VCS Spring 2024. What VCS fans are most concerned about right now revolves around two questions: first, which teams and players have been “dirty”? And second, how will Riot and the VCS organizers handle these violations?

According to some anonymous sources, 6 out of 8 teams in the VCS have players involved in this incident. This claim is entirely plausible, as recently, former SBTC Esports star Dia1, who was also penalized for a similar case last summer, pointed out many teams with players involved in this scandal. Additionally, the two teams that former star SE did not mention due to a lack of information are Team Whales and Vikings Esports.

With the information provided, it is almost certain that some very famous teams in the VCS are embroiled in this scandal, not just the smaller teams. Moreover, according to reliable sources, the person behind this allegation is a very familiar name to the VCS community, who has been involved with the professional League of Legends scene in Vietnam for many years. This individual (let’s call him A.) is still active in his respective team.

Regardless of the situation, this negative allegation will have a huge impact on the VCS. With Riot’s actions, it is almost certain that it will not be limited to just 1 or 2 teams. And it is possible that the League of Legends community in Vietnam will face even more turbulence in the near future, once the information is revealed and everything is laid bare by the VCS organizers and Riot.
