On the afternoon of July 2nd (Vietnam time), another match of the VCS Hoàng Hôn 2023 was postponed. This is the match between Team Whales (TW) and SBTC Esports (SE). There is no longer any doubt about the fact that the organizing committee of VCS is “deliberately” delaying to avoid LCK Summer 2023 “highlight” matches. Now, the attention of VCS fans is focused on the name SE as this is the second consecutive match for the team nicknamed “Pink Chicken” that has been postponed.

As we know, there have previously been some reports about SE’s alleged match-fixing behavior circulating among VCS fans. However, the team’s representatives have not confirmed or denied this, leaving the fans of the team puzzled. Notably, CES stated that initially, the team was informed that the match against SE was postponed due to technical reasons. But the fact that the match between Team Whales (TW) and Team Secret (TS) still took place after the announcement from the VCS organizers has further convinced fans that something is wrong with SE.

In any sport, negative issues are no stranger. However, with Esports (Esports) and especially League of Legends (LoL), this issue is even more sophisticated despite Riot and the tournament organizers imposing very heavy penalties. According to some opinions, if there really are SE players violating the rules, coupled with the fact that the tournament is now directly managed by Riot, a heavier penalty than before could be issued. The suspension period could last from 2 years or more, even a Global Ban if these actions have serious consequences.

VCS fans speculate that, at this moment, the VCS organizers might be investigating SE’s players. Another noteworthy point is: SE also has 2 members who will participate in the Vietnam League of Legends team for the upcoming ASIAD, Dia1 and Palette. This could lead to serious consequences, and not just for SE fans; VCS viewers also hope that no players have violated any rules when the official investigation results are announced.
