Staying true to their promise, Riot Games has recently shared the first details about Rell’s comprehensive overhaul. The biggest change for this character seems to be in her passive and basic stats, as the amount of armor and magic resistance gained per level has been slightly reduced. In exchange, her ability to steal defensive stats from her passive will now stack up to 5 times and apply to all of her area-of-effect skills.

Not stopping there, the stun ability from her E skill will be transferred to her Q skill. Now, the E skill will grant Rell movement speed while mounted. Additionally, activating this ability will also help Rell and her allies connect and gain increased movement speed. Her subsequent basic attack or Q will deal damage based on a percentage of the target’s health.

The most surprising aspect for the League of Legends (LoL) community with this update is that Rell can now jungle. Specifically, all three of her abilities Q – W – E now have an effect that deals 250% damage to jungle monsters. It’s important to note that Support Rell rarely utilizes this effect.

“I can’t believe Riot Games actually thought of the idea of Rell in the jungle. They should focus on making Rell a better Support champion. This feature will only make her more unbalanced upon release. I hope Riot reconsiders this decision for the official server,” shared an upset LoL player.
It’s worth noting that the upcoming patch 13.10 will include significant updates for the Marksman role. Therefore, Riot believes that Rell can become a jungle champion and help protect Marksmen more effectively. However, there are currently too many champions in LoL that excel at this, and forcing Rell into the jungle role seems unnecessary. Perhaps Riot should reconsider this decision, similar to the feedback from the community.
