Riot Drops New Viktor Skin Info That Shocks the LoL Community
In 2025, Riot remade the champion Viktor based on his appearance in the Arcane series. Although Viktor has since been regarded as smoother, many players, including professional League of Legends players, expressed “regret” over the old default skin. Recently, Riot decided to release that very default skin for Viktor in the near future, but it will be called Traditional Viktor.

However, this decision has left the LoL community dissatisfied. Everyone knows that in recent years, Riot has prioritized maximum profit, leading to many skins being criticized for poor quality or merely being tweaks of existing skins. A prime example is the Ultimate skin Samira: Supreme Slayer, which lacks the skill effects and visuals seen in previous Ultimate skins.

According to many opinions, the LoL community fears that Riot will turn the Traditional Viktor skin into a cash grab rather than offering it for free as in previous years. Previously, when remaking champions, default skins were gifted to players. Currently, if Riot includes the old default Viktor skin in some gacha event, players will have no recourse.
Riot Continues to Stir Controversy with New LoL Skin Designs
While League of Legends: Wild Rift frequently features unique skins, Riot seems to be trying to maximize the PC LoL brand, albeit with lower-quality skins. In recent years, Riot has even included many skins in a gacha system, forcing players to spend money, sometimes requiring more investment than the skins’ worth.

However, if Riot can still profit from these policies, they won’t hesitate to continue implementing them, and the LoL community, despite their frustrations, will have to “bite the bullet” and “donate blood” if they want to own the skin.
