Just a short clip but Zeus highlights a major flaw in the life of a pro gamer
Perhaps it goes without saying, those who have followed Esports long enough understand that being a pro player may seem easy, but it comes with numerous issues. One of them is that the time spent practicing, climbing ranks, and competing often takes up the entire daily schedule. Therefore, it’s entirely understandable and common for players to lack essential soft skills. The recent case of Zeus further demonstrates this factor.

Specifically, Zeus participated in a reality show where he had the opportunity to cook alongside the chef of his team, HLE. However, it was revealed that Zeus had no cooking skills whatsoever and couldn’t even crack an egg properly. When Zeus cracked the egg, the egg white nearly spilled out completely, and he only managed to keep the yolk intact by quickly closing the eggshell.
Notably, Zeus was born in 2004, making him 21 years old this year. At this age, most people are college students, and cooking simple dishes from eggs is well within reach. Of course, given that Zeus is a player who competes continuously and has everything served to him, it’s understandable that he lacks basic skills.

Not only Zeus, but many League of Legends players may lack soft skills
Of course, there will be rebuttals stating that players only need to perform well in matches and don’t need to be proficient in cooking skills. However, the lack of soft skills among players is commonly seen. In most teams, having coaching staff to teach these skills is very rare, usually only present in top teams.
This occasionally leads to consequences, leaving players unprepared to face obstacles when there is no support from the team. The backstage dramas involving players often stem from poor communication or being too passive when facing life’s challenges.

Furthermore, developing these skills can wait, and perhaps reality shows like the one Zeus participated in can help polish these skills for players—something they very rarely have the opportunity to do, let alone participate in.
