Over the past week, the new Volibear has officially appeared on the PBE test server. In general, Riot Games is directing this bear to become a top lane champion capable of strong trades or a jungler who can gank and dive towers effectively. The biggest breakthrough in this rework is that Volibear has completely transformed from a cute bear into a powerful Demigod.

However, this bear cannot yet be considered a finished product due to several issues with its power and an appearance that is not yet perfect. Therefore, just a few hours ago, the designer responsible for the Volibear rework shared the changes to make this bear stronger and focus on the strengths of this champion.

Balance Changes
The stacking attack speed of the passive has increased from 3% to 5%, with a maximum of 25% attack speed instead of 15%. The base damage has decreased from 60 to 57, and the damage of the Q ability has reduced from 25-125 to 20-100.
The crowd control refresh effect of the Q ability will now be triggered if Volibear is immobilized while attacking. The E skill will now grant vision in the area of effect, and the item recommendations have been updated with the Trinity Force as a core item.

Visual Effects
Using the action Ctrl + 5 will now make Volibear punch his chest and roar while standing still.
The Chief of Police Volibear skin will now have a punching attack instead of scratching, and the background will no longer be affected by Trundle.

The Volibear Ancient Guardian skin will now feature a beard, and the spikes on his back will become longer and scarier.
The slow effect from the E and R abilities will now have a slow effect. Many unnecessary elements have been removed from various skins of Volibear.

Essentially, these updates from Riot Games are aimed at refining and removing unnecessary details from Volibear’s new skins. The skill set of this bear is basically complete and represents a significant upgrade over the current version. Players just need to wait a very short time to get their hands on this bear as Volibear will officially be transformed in the 10.11 patch on May 28th.
