Riot Games Employee Confirms Ancient Link – Gnar is the Next Rework Project for League of Legends?

Gnar is becoming outdated compared to the meta, so it's not surprising that Riot is considering a rework.

It’s quite evident that some champions in a game that’s entering its 10th year, like League of Legends, are gradually becoming outdated in terms of appearance and gameplay. Riot Games’ approach to address this is to update the champion to fit the current meta, whether that means tweaking a few abilities lightly or completely overhauling skills, visuals, and lore.

A few days ago, right after the development angle video was released, Riot’s champion production lead – Riot Reav3 confirmed on Reddit that there is another rework project aside from the champions currently in the voting pool that is being planned. This indicates that Riot is not only reworking what the community wants anymore, but they are also adjusting champions that truly have gameplay issues that players might not pay much attention to.

In a recent move from another senior member of Riot Games – Riot August, he half-jokingly confirmed that Gnar is indeed the “unannounced rework project” that Riot Reav3 mentioned.
