One of the recent events that has stirred up the VCS is the situation involving EGO. The former VCS star, once renowned and considered the “successor of SofM“, is now unemployed. Not to mention, no one knows if EGO’s mental state has fully stabilized, and with all the surrounding drama, no team is willing to recruit the former CERBERUS Esports star. Turning to streaming hasn’t worked out either, as EGO recently surprised many by messaging fans to borrow money.

Notably, EGO used SofM and the Vikings Esports team to borrow money from VCS viewers by spreading rumors that he would join the team of former Weibo Gaming star. Immediately, SofM had to step up to clarify and assert that there was no connection or intention to recruit EGO as he claimed while borrowing money. SofM’s warning left many VCS viewers feeling helpless as EGO was destroying his own relationships in the League of Legends scene with his “no turning back” approach.

However, subsequent conversations revealed that SofM and Lily were still offering significant support to EGO. While SofM continued to communicate normally with EGO during their gaming encounters, Lily shared heartfelt advice for the former CES player. Nonetheless, Lily took a firm stance, asserting that EGO would not be able to join VKE and suggested that he should quit social media, pursue vocational training, or find a job. Everyone understands that EGO’s chances of returning to the VCS are nearly zero. Many VCS viewers also admitted that Lily’s suggestions are the best options for EGO right now, to stabilize his mental state and support himself.

However, those who care about EGO have already sent their advice to him. Perhaps in his moments of calm, the former CES star will recognize his current circumstances. Yet, the choice of what to do lies entirely in EGO’s hands. There will come a time when the VCS community may no longer care about EGO or his dramas, but perhaps this former player has truly closed the door on his career in the least desirable way.
