If we were to name a player holding numerous records in the world of League of Legends, it wouldn’t be hard for most to think of Faker right away. Not only is he one of the most veteran players still competing, but Faker continuously breaks one record after another with each match. It feels like, at this moment, any new record could be set by Faker, not just after each match but even in individual games.

Recently, in his final match of the fourth week of the LCK Summer 2022, T1 faced off against Fredit BRION – a team at the bottom of the standings with an 8-game losing streak and no wins in the LCK Summer 2022. And of course, with an opponent not too challenging, if not the “easiest” team to play against in the current LCK, T1 had no trouble securing the victory. In fact, Faker and his teammates even took the opportunity to experiment with new champion picks, such as the Yasuo – Yone duo or Lee Sin as a Support.
And in this match, Faker has set yet another new record for himself, specifically within the framework of the highest-level League of Legends tournament in South Korea. Specifically, Faker has now achieved 2604 kills throughout the entire history of the LCK. This number, as always, far exceeds the second-place holder, who is also a familiar name, Deft. The DRX ADC has only managed 2132 kills in the history of the LCK, trailing Faker by 472 kills.
With Deft also approaching the age for mandatory military service in South Korea (possibly in 2023), the likelihood of Deft surpassing Faker on this list is quite low. Besides Faker and Deft, there are many famous names in the Korean League of Legends scene such as Ruler, Teddy, PraY… Notably, there are only three names playing in the Mid Lane in the top 10, which are Faker, Bdd, and Kuro.

And with the LCK Summer 2022 only nearing the end of the first half of the group stage, there are still plenty of opportunities for Faker to extend this achievement and create new milestones. Perhaps, for him and the majority of fans, the most anticipated thing in every match is not only the victory for T1 but also what new records Faker will break next.
