Only a few hours left, the Final round of the biggest PUBG Mobile tournament in Vietnam will kick off. Let’s chat with one of the contenders for this championship, V Gaming, to see how they feel!
Hello Team V Gaming PUBG Mobile, and congratulations on making it to the Final round! How do you feel right now?
The feelings of our team upon reaching this final round are quite…normal. Since it was 100% confirmed that we would be in the Final before the matches, there’s nothing particularly special about it. We are just at the first step of achieving our goals.
What has your team prepared for the upcoming decisive match to secure the only ticket to the World Finals?
Our team has thoroughly studied the strengths and weaknesses of other teams, as well as their movements and strategies. We are determined to seize the ticket to this World League. Moreover, we will also prepare a relaxed mindset to compete as confidently as possible.
In your opinion, what are the most important factors to achieve Top 1 in each match?
The factors to achieve Top 1 depend on the performance of each member and avoiding any mistakes during combat. The second factor, as anyone who plays PUBG knows, is whether we have good luck with the circle (laughs). If we can bring both factors together, we will definitely secure Top 1. However, if luck does not smile upon us, we will still try to move wisely to secure good positions.
In the team, who connects all the members together? How do you resolve disputes when they arise?
In our team, the captain Bensu is the one who connects everyone because he is the… oldest member of the team. Our team rarely has internal disputes; most of the members are very friendly, so there are no internal conflicts. After each match, we often sit together to review the replay to see where we made mistakes and learn from those experiences.
What is your team’s assessment of your opponents in this Final round? Are you confident in your team’s chance of winning since V Gaming is one of the five teams considered contenders in PMPL 2020?
I have a high regard for all the opponents in this final round because once we reach this stage, everyone must be strong. Our chances of winning are probably around 70%, while the remaining 30% depends on luck with the circle.
In fact, before this tournament, we were not rated as highly as teams like BOX Gaming, Matrix,… but that doesn’t matter. Because in esports, anything can happen in the last minute. We believe that after this group stage, the teams participating in the Finals will have gained a lot of experience to adjust their strategies and play styles.
