On March 29, the Lead Champion Designer of League of Legends – Riot Phroxzon announced details about the upcoming patch 13.7. This version will have a significant impact on the Jungle role as many strong champions in this role are being nerfed and adjusted. Additionally, Riot has also made several notable adjustments to the Mid Lane position with champions like Katarina, Yasuo, Azir, Veigar… all seeing changes to their stats.

One of the Mid Lane champions that has garnered attention – Yasuo is also on Riot Games’ adjustment list. In fact, this character will receive a considerable buff to his E skill – Sweeping Blade. Specifically, each stack of the E skill will increase the total damage of Sweeping Blade by 15-25%. Furthermore, the maximum stack limit has been increased from 2 to 4 stacks.
Not stopping there, the shield from Yasuo’s passive will also be increased in the late game. This enhancement significantly boosts the Unforgiven One’s durability and mobility in the later stages of the game. Yasuo’s changes have sparked controversy within the community as they may increase the chances of “game-breaking” plays in the upcoming patch.

“I really hope Riot will retract the buff for Yasuo. This character is still fine; his win rate being not too high is reasonable because Yasuo relies on player skill. Buffing this champion will only lead to low-ranked players picking Yasuo more often and then getting repeatedly taken down, causing trouble for their teammates. Riot, please find another way.” – a League of Legends player commented.

Essentially, the aforementioned buff for Yasuo does not change the fundamental nature of this character. Yasuo still heavily depends on the skill level of the player using him. The buff to the E skill may lead players to experiment with Yasuo spells in the next patch. Perhaps as the community suggests, Riot Games needs to find a more appropriate way to buff this character.
