A few days ago, TFT Project Director – Riot Mortdog announced some notable information about the upcoming patch 13.7. Accordingly, a series of traits, origins, and Hero Augments will be revamped to better fit the current gameplay. In addition, some compositions that are currently too powerful will also be adjusted in this version.
As for Hero Augments, Shen will have a new core upgrade called Time Knife. This upgrade allows Shen’s skill to reduce energy cost by 10 and enhances the next 3 attacks after using the skill. The damage will be equal to 250% of Shen’s armor.

The two Hero Augments that will be nerfed in this patch are the core upgrades for Lucian and Vex. For Vex, the healing ability will now only apply to the 2 lowest health allied champions instead of the entire team. The experience gain from Lucian’s upgrade will increase to 2 points but can only be applied every 3 uses of the skill.

Regarding traits, the Laser Corps will receive a minor buff. Specifically, the effect of attaching drones to allies will now apply starting from 4 champions. For the Hacker trait, the activation threshold of 2 champions will be completely removed in the next version. The Quickdraw trait will see increased damage at all activation thresholds.

Back to Vex, this champion will see a significant decrease in enhanced damage. According to Riot Mortdog, the damage Vex deals will be reduced significantly after attacking the first target. Kai’Sa will also receive a buff to become a stronger magic carry.

Essentially, TFT season 8.5 has only been around for nearly 2 weeks. Therefore, launching a series of significant changes in the upcoming patch 13.7 is quite unusual in the history of mid-season updates. Many players, after reading about these changes, have expressed that they feel “overwhelmed” by the new information.
In addition to the major adjustments mentioned above, Riot is also revising many other traits, champions, and Hero Augments in patch 13.7. Hopefully, Riot will make reasonable changes and not create any excessively dominant gameplay in the future.
