A few days ago, the rework of the champion Neeko officially appeared on the Public Beta Environment (PBE). This indicates that in the upcoming patch 13.9, Riot Games will implement this major adjustment of Neeko on the official server. This change promises to enhance Neeko’s gameplay and make the character much more interesting.

The biggest highlight of the “new” Neeko remains her ability to disguise as minions, jungle monsters, wards, etc. Additionally, Neeko’s skill set will not have much change in mechanics or usage. The biggest change is probably in her ultimate, which will no longer create shields; instead, this character will knock up enemy champions.
Returning to the passive of this character, many players have come up with an extremely unique idea to utilize this skill. Specifically, players can completely transform into jungle monsters and disguise themselves in the enemy’s jungle. When the opposing jungler is clearing that camp, Neeko can launch a surprise attack.

This idea is feasible because the “new” Neeko will not revert to her original form when taking damage. This causes opponents to let their guard down, increasing the success rate of this attack. Many League of Legends players have even tested this idea on the PBE server and successfully secured kills.

Of course, the aforementioned idea is just a small part of the new playstyles for Neeko. This has helped Neeko become a much more interesting character compared to before. Hopefully, Riot will closely monitor and ensure that this character’s passive does not encounter issues when this rework officially launches.
