In the world of League of Legends, if we talk about the most famous name, the most influential one, almost the entire community will immediately think of Faker. Even audiences from rival regions like the LPL or anti-fans have to admit one thing: Faker is indeed the most influential player in League of Legends, and one day when he no longer competes, the LCK in particular and the League of Legends community in general will be in danger.

Recently, Riot held a meeting in Seoul, South Korea. During this meeting, the market development team at Riot highly praised the Vietnamese market. Specifically, Mr. Park Won-young – head of the Korean commercial partner department at Riot Games emphasized: “I am paying attention to Vietnam. This region is continuously developing and is expected to rise to the second position in the future. The LCK is growing here similarly to K-pop culture before. Vietnam greatly respects Korean culture. Coach Park Hang-seo is very famous here. And every gamer here also loves player Faker.”

However, notably, when Riot shared about the second position after Faker, it wasn’t any name among Chovy or ShowMaker – the stars who are incredibly famous and talented. Mr. Park Won-young’s answer surprised both fans and even Riot itself: it is the Top Laner of Fredit BRION – Morgan. Director Won-young believes that Morgan attracts female fans with his handsome looks that rival K-pop idols. Additionally, for many Vietnamese fans, he is also a player who strives every day after his unsatisfactory performances at the 2021 World Championship.

Riot also noted that each team in the LCK has different marketing strategies. But one thing is for sure: the Vietnamese market has been and is developing significantly and starting to have a voice in the League of Legends community. With Riot directly managing and the investment of this publisher, we can trust that League of Legends in Vietnam will continue to grow even more in the future.
