Continuing the shocking incidents surrounding the Chinese League of Legends scene, recently, LGD Gaming’s jungler – Peanut has been repeatedly sharing posts about becoming a victim of sexual harassment on social media.
According to Peanut, for the past two months, a man has continuously posted comments and sent sexually explicit messages to his personal Instagram. After being blocked, this individual even created multiple fake accounts to continue his harassment. Recently, Peanut was forced to publicize the situation and issue a final warning aimed at the perpetrator:

“Please stop, do not cross the line. There is a man continuously commenting with sexually explicit content on my personal social media. This is causing a lot of trouble. I have asked him to stop, but there has been no result. If he continues to do this, I will post all these filthy contents and file a lawsuit.”
However, Peanut’s warning was completely ineffective, the harassment continued, and ultimately this player had to go through his team LGD to seek legal intervention:

“Hello, I am Peanut. For the past two months, I have been under extreme stress facing harassment on social media. I asked the perpetrator to stop, but nothing changed, so I decided to sue him.
I have sought support options and contacted a lawyer. Not only I but many other gamers can also provide evidence of being harassed by this man. If anyone has any information or images about similar harassment, please report them. Thank you all for your concern! This post will be deleted after I complete the complaint process.”

Peanut’s case is not the first and only one; players or celebrities within the gaming community have become victims of sexual harassment on social media. However, it seems that the former SKT player has endured quite a bit of this behavior over the past two months, and when his warnings proved ineffective, he had to turn to the authorities for intervention.
It is reported that due to the inability to identify the true identity of the perpetrator, Peanut will have to seek assistance from both the Chinese and Korean police. Additionally, he is receiving support from several social organizations against sexual harassment, and his organization – LGD Gaming will represent him in working with lawyers to quickly resolve the situation.
