Peanut and Khan Agree on Faker’s Role in League of Legends and LCK
In the professional League of Legends scene, the influence of Faker is no longer unfamiliar to the audience. It can be said that at this point, Faker is completely irreplaceable and unparalleled. The throne of the “Demon King” has reached a level that no one can touch. Even those who were once teammates and later rivals of Faker, like Peanut and Khan, have suggested that Faker… should not retire.

In a recent stream, Peanut chatted with Khan and specifically emphasized Faker’s role in LCK and professional League of Legends in general. Peanut stated: “Every day people talk about how League of Legends is in danger. Even when I was young and not competing, they said the same. But, there’s Faker. Wow, Lee Sang-hyeok needs to stay healthy.”
Khan agreed with Peanut’s opinion, expressing that Faker should compete as long as possible: “I really hope Lee Sang-hyeok competes professionally until he’s 50 years old. When Faker retires, League of Legends and LCK will be in danger.”

Peanut and Khan’s Opinions on Faker Are Quite Accurate
In reality, the views of Peanut and Khan may face some rebuttals, but it cannot be denied that Faker’s influence is immense. There has never been any Esports player, even in traditional sports, who can rival Faker’s role. When Faker retires, it is almost certain that League of Legends and LCK will be in danger simply because: no one can replace Faker.

However, human capacity is limited, and in recent years, injuries have caused both Faker and T1 many difficulties. Therefore, if Faker wishes to take a break in the future, the League of Legends community will also have to accept it.
