Recently, on the Chinese social media platform Hupu, netizens have been sharing a post capturing an essay from a devoted fan of Faker – the legendary player of T1 competing in the highest level League of Legends tournament in the LCK region. The essay goes as follows:
“The person I admire the most.
I am Timor – a high school student, and the person I admire the most is Xianghe Li – Faker. The reasons for this are listed as follows:
Born on June 7, 1997, Faker came from a rather difficult background, but it has instilled in him qualities such as a strong spirit, kindness, carefulness, as well as confidence and frugality. For example, when Faker goes on vacation with his teammates, he bought a can of Coca-Cola and then shared it with the other four. However, when needed, he also bought a piano for 4000 yuan but was able to donate up to 170,000 yuan to China last year. Truly a generous and kind guy!!!
Moreover, Faker always has an optimistic spirit and a high sense of teamwork both in League of Legends and in real life. He also shows that he is a quick learner, evidenced by the fact that he not only excels in studies but can also adapt to and master any video game in a very short time.
Through his hard work, Faker has won countless awards, including three World Championship titles in League of Legends. He is a member of SK Telecom T1, abbreviated as SKT or T1, one of the best and most united teams in the world.
Faker has inspired me to always pursue my dreams, to maintain an optimistic spirit no matter what, and to keep striving forward.
I will always follow and support Faker, forever.”

The essay is a heartfelt, genuine expression of admiration for the icon of the League of Legends world. In fact, this fan even noticed small details such as Faker “buying a can of Coca-Cola and sharing it with the whole team” or the noble act of the “Chairman” when he donated 170,000 yuan to China while only purchasing a piano worth 4,000 yuan.
However, there is a major mistake that Timor overlooked when writing about Faker, which is that the “Chairman’s” birth date should be May 7, 1996, not 1997 as stated in the essay. Nevertheless, perhaps due to the flow of ideas and emotions about Faker, he became careless with this detail.
Furthermore, fans found it amusing that Timor’s teacher also recognized this detail, meaning that this teacher is familiar with Faker or at least has done some research on him.
Timor’s essay received a decent score of 19/25 (equivalent to 7 out of 10) and has been widely shared by Faker’s fans, who were also impressed by the beautifully crafted and neat handwriting of the student.
