Oner Shares About His Decision After Signing with T1
As known, recently, Oner has officially signed a contract with T1 until 2028, making him the longest-serving Jungle player alongside Faker in the history of SKT T1/T1. At the same time, this new contract also opens up the opportunity for Oner to increase his number of World Championship titles to surpass Bengi’s achievements. Moreover, Oner has recently affirmed that his decision is entirely based on his love for T1.

Accordingly, Oner stated: “In the current situation, when the value of a professional player is sometimes measured by money rather than actual worth, I have pursued reasons that lean more towards emotions. I even told my agent that I would not accept offers from other teams, which is why I prioritized T1. And I have never considered leaving here.”
Thus, it can be said that although the contract still has a long duration, Oner has early on wanted to fully commit his career at T1. As of now, aside from Faker, Oner is also the last player to emerge from the T1 training camp, who has been promoted to the first team and has remained here.

Oner’s Comments About T1 Touch Fans but Remind of Two Former Teammates
Oner’s comments have moved many T1 fans. Over the years, several players who seemed destined to become the visual of T1 in the future, for various reasons, have left T1. To become the team’s visuals in the future, it requires not only talent or titles but also a background from the T1 training camp. Aside from Faker, only Oner meets this condition.
However, from this, there have also been mentions of Gumayusi and Zeus. These two players left T1 in the 2024 and 2025 transfer seasons, respectively. Notably, both were once viewed by T1 fans as potential representatives for the team in the future when Faker might retire.

– You truly carry the “T1 bloodline”
– I hope the team treats Oner well after his decisions
– On the path to becoming the greatest Jungle player in history
– Meanwhile, Zeus and Gumayusi left for money
In reality, career decisions are personal, and no one can be exactly like another. Moreover, both Zeus and Gumayusi had given T1 the opportunity to negotiate and the team could not meet those demands. Thus, their departure or Oner’s stay is completely understandable, and no one should be blamed in this story.
