Oner sets a “record” that every jungler dreads
As we know, recently, T1 lost to DK, thereby losing their chance to claim their first official title of 2026. This result was somewhat surprising, especially since T1 had taken the lead 2-0 after the first two games. However, looking at the match’s progression, it was clear that DK played with more focus and determination. Notably, in DK’s winning games, there was a common factor: T1’s jungler Oner completely failed when facing Lucid on the opposite side.

Specifically, throughout all the games, Oner lost a total of 8 times in 50-50 Smite situations. This means Oner failed 100% of all contests against Lucid in this match – a statistic that no jungler would desire.
Besides being pressured or caught in chaotic skirmishes, losing all contests like this also shows that Oner had a rather distracted performance and wasn’t calm enough to calculate damage, even with Kalista on his team in the decisive game.

On the other hand, in DK’s winning games, especially in game 3, T1 failed to capitalize on their champion picks (Kha’Zix – Twisted Fate) and often found themselves in situations where they had to contest. These critical mistakes led the team to lose despite having significant advantages in the laning phase.
Not just Oner, the entire T1 team is at fault
Of course, losing Smite contests and allowing the opponent to gain an advantage and the winning formula is a mistake by the jungler. However, the other players on T1 also did not capitalize on their opportunities when they had the advantage; this is a fault of the entire team. Blaming Oner for a day when he was unfocused means we must also blame the entire T1 team for not performing better than their opponents.
