The ultimate ability is an essential part of a champion’s skill set; it is the strongest tool that champion has and partly shapes their character’s identity and brand. Some notable examples include Lee Sin’s Dragon’s Rage, Zed’s Death Mark, Twisted Fate’s Destiny, or Yasuo’s Last Breath…

Ekko is no exception to this rule, and this champion’s ultimate, Chronobreak, is considered the most powerful skill if used correctly. The unique aspect of this skill is that it’s not just a simple damage-dealing ability; it allows you to teleport back to a location you occupied a few seconds prior.

The downside of this skill is that in situations where you move in to attack an opponent, this ultimate does not provide much help aside from ensuring you can escape safely in dangerous scenarios. If you can’t deal damage quickly and have to retreat early, you will just waste this ability. Therefore, a ‘one champ’ Ekko has found a way to mitigate this by not learning the ultimate immediately when reaching level 6.

Not Learning Ultimate at Level 6?
I have this idea
When you hit level 6 with Ekko, don’t learn the ultimate immediately. When you need to use it, just press Ctrl + R and then R (if you think your hands are fast enough). The advantage here is that the enemy cannot see the shadow indicating where you will retreat when learning the ultimate too early. Just imagine how confused the opponent will be when they see Ekko at level 6 but not learning the ultimate.
It may not matter much, but I think this playstyle could lead to some kills and unexpected counterattacks.

In fact, it has a big impact, this is a great idea, and I will definitely use this strategy.
This idea isn’t bad, sounds good, and I’ll try it out tomorrow.
Interesting, right?
Wow, I never thought of this, it seems like this is beyond what my brain can process.

Although not learning the ultimate immediately at level 6 will conceal where you will teleport back to, it can be hard for you to remember where you were 4 seconds ago. Therefore, to apply this playstyle in actual combat, you need to be a very experienced Ekko player with a good sense of space and time in the game, allowing you to make the most accurate decisions.
