Just a few moments ago – LOL Esports, the esports portal under Riot Games, officially announced information related to the League of Legends World Championship 2021, including the time, location, and tournament format.
Accordingly, Worlds 2021 will be held in Iceland, starting from October 5th and ending on November 6th. Notably, this year’s Worlds will continue to feature only 22 participating teams, applying a similar format to Worlds 2020: The number of teams in the Play-in stage is reduced to 10, divided into 2 round-robin groups, from which 4 teams will advance to the group stage.
Rogue – the third seed from LEC, will receive a direct slot in the group stage to replace the spot of the representative from Vietnam.
