It can be said that in the Vietnam League of Legends community, the name SofM is not at all unfamiliar. In the past, SofM has “dominated” the Challenger rank in Vietnam with many different accounts. Even in professional competitions, SofM’s achievements are extremely outstanding while playing for Full Louis, having competed in all 5 positions of League of Legends. Currently, SofM is playing for Suning (LPL China) with the dream of attending the World Championship.
Setting League of Legends aside, SofM’s Facebook fan page recently shared extraordinary records of SofM’s gaming achievements, which have earned him admiration from the Vietnamese Esports community:
First up is Dota 2, where SofM achieved a 6k solo MMR in 2018 – the highest rank in Dota 2. Although both are MOBA games, for someone who doesn’t focus on playing just one game outside of League of Legends like SofM, this rank is incredibly impressive.
Next is Hearthstone; in these “just for fun” games, SofM has competed in the Southeast Asia qualifiers, making it to the top 16, and just needed to win one more match to attend the international tournament in the Philippines. However, the reason SofM lost left his fans bewildered: SofM lost because he was sleepy. More specifically, while playing in the Hearthstone qualifiers, SofM texted a friend saying, “I stayed up all night grinding League of Legends, so I’m really sleepy, going to bed now…”.
Then there were the “high-level shootouts” when SofM played CS:GO with “the national brother” Bomman. SofM showcased his incredible carrying ability with 26 kills and 8 MVPs on stream, prompting Bomman to jokingly ask, “Did you enable hacks to counter the hacks, right?”.
Even in battle royale games, SofM isn’t fazed; unfortunately finishing in second place, SofM still dominated the kill count throughout the tournament.
Additionally, there are many other games that SofM and Lyly have yet to share with the community, but it can be seen that the “King of Games” SofM is incredibly talented and can play many genres. Nevertheless, SofM’s fans still hope that he can fulfill his dream of attending the World Championship in League of Legends.
