The most followed female streamer today is a Canadian of Moroccan descent. Originally a chemical engineering student, this girl born in 1996 started “venturing into” streaming in 2014. Her Twitch account has nearly 5 million followers, ranking 7th on the platform.





LoserFruit (Kathleen Belsten)

Born in Melbourne, Australia, LoserFruit graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism from RMIT University in 2013. She had a brief internship at the renowned Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) before deciding to switch paths and become a professional streamer.





LoserFruit’s YouTube channel has 1.99 million subscribers, while her Twitch account has nearly 1.3 million followers. The list of games she plays is diverse, ranging from shooting games like Fortnite, Overwatch to League of Legends or Minecraft.

KittyPlays (Kristen Valnicek)

Born in Canada, Kristen once shared with the media that she wanted to be a lawyer, but streaming earns her “more money than owning a law firm.” The game Kristen plays the most is Fortnite.




Besides gaming, Kristen is also the head of creative for Gen.G, a leading esports organization with teams in League of Legends, CS:GO, and PUBG. She also serves as a commentator for several professional esports tournaments.

OMGitsfirefoxx (Sonja Reid)

Like Pokimane and KittyPlays, Sonja “OMGitsfirefoxx” Reid is a Canadian female streamer. Once one of the most followed streamers, the games she often plays include Minecraft, CS:GO, Overwatch, and League of Legends.




She was inducted into the Guinness World Records in 2017 for the title of “Most Followed Female Gamer on Twitch,” after surpassing her colleague Kristen “KittyPlays” Valnicek. In 2016, OMGitsfirefoxx was included in Forbes magazine’s list of 30 Under 30.

Hafu (Rumay Wang)

Hafu is a professional World of Warcraft and Hearthstone player and an official streamer for G2 Esports. In addition to World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, she also plays League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. Her Twitch channel has nearly 800,000 followers.




In 2015, Hafu defeated the famous mid-laner Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg of Team SoloMid in a solo Zyra 1v1 match. Besides gaming, this Chinese-American gamer is also a social activist, fighting against gender discrimination and sexual harassment in esports.
