There is a truth that everyone knows: the newly released champions in League of Legends always have more appealing designs and deeper voice lines compared to older characters. This leads to veteran champions becoming outdated in terms of both audio (in-game voice lines) and visuals (character models). Gradually, they lose their appeal to gamers.

The King Rammus is the latest champion that Riot has revamped, enhancing both his appearance and skills. Now he can leap into the heart of the enemy with an ultimate that scales with his movement speed. By the end of the game, when equipped with enough speed items, Rammus can execute a stunning jump from the Red Buff straight to the Dragon or Baron pit. The sensation of a ball soaring in to steal the Dragon is indeed not very pleasant.

In a video recently posted by Riot Sirhaian, we can see that the impact range of Rammus’s abilities has become much clearer. When Rammus hits an opponent with his Q – Powerball, this ability creates a small circle to indicate the knockback and stun area. Similarly, with his E – Frenzy, this skill now has additional visual effects regarding the direction of the taunt.
In this update, whether it’s a bug or Riot’s intention, the Armadillo Rammus only takes 6 seconds to dash from the top lane to the bottom lane without needing to use Turbo or any instant movement speed items.
Just the Q – Powerball ability allows him to increase his movement speed from 453 to 2458 units. This will be a nightmare for marksmen in the late game, as a moment of vulnerability can lead to an immediate demise at the hands of Rammus. There hasn’t been any urgent patch released across servers, so perhaps this spiky Armadillo will have more opportunities to shine during this time.
