New Equipment Coming to League of Legends by Pre-Season 2022 Might Already Exist in League of Legends: Wild Rift?

If this is true, tank champions with crowd control in League of Legends will become significantly stronger.

About a week ago, Riot Games published a lengthy article on their homepage discussing plans they are set to implement for League of Legends. Among them, Riot teased 5 new items that will be added to the League of Legends shop in Pre-Season 2022. Although they have not disclosed the names or the stats provided, these items have attracted significant interest from the community.

Recently, the League of Legends community has discovered that one of the new items introduced by Riot seems to already be present in League of Legends: Wild Rift. Specifically, we have a new tank Legendary item that will provide a lot of energy for the user. This item allows champions to use their energy to create shields when immobilizing or slowing down opponents. And what a coincidence it is that in League of Legends: Wild Rift, there is an item called Eternal Ice Armor with a similar effect.

With the effect of Eternal Ice Armor being almost identical to the description from Riot, we are even more convinced that this item is about to be brought from League of Legends: Wild Rift to League of Legends. The strength of this item lies in its ability to completely solve the energy issues for tank champions and make them extremely resilient when upgraded to Eternal Ice Armor.

Furthermore, the price of this item is relatively cheap compared to the current Legendary tank items in League of Legends (2600 gold), which is a significant advantage. A low price means players can acquire the power level of 2-3 items earlier, gain additional stats from the Mythic item, and become “tougher” than before. If Ice Armor and Eternal Ice Armor are actually added to League of Legends in Pre-Season 2022, it will become a relatively strong item.

Of course, for this to happen, Riot needs to adjust the stats and price of the item to fit the League of Legends environment. Riot could even take the passive of Eternal Ice Armor and incorporate it into a completely new item in the future. Perhaps we will still have to wait until the information about Pre-Season 2022 is officially announced to be certain whether Riot will bring Eternal Ice Armor from League of Legends: Wild Rift to League of Legends or not.
