Right after receiving a 1-year ban for colluding with SBTC Esports while still under contract with GAM Esports, player Lê “Dia1” Phú Quý seems to be facing the prospect of a “double” punishment, as recently, messages believed to be evidence of Dia1 and Yijin’s involvement in a sports betting ring were publicly shared on social media.
Specifically, in the leaked messages, a Facebook account nicknamed Quý Lê, along with another account named Nguyễn Lê Hải Đăng, both show signs of participating in betting on matches within the professional League of Legends system. Coincidentally, Quý Lê and Nguyễn Lê Hải Đăng are also the Facebook names of players Dia1 and Yijin.

Additionally, the person “soliciting bets” in both messages is not a stranger; it is the character Uncle H. – who was previously accused by GAM Esports captain Levi of attempting to persuade this player to throw a game involving a Dragon for 100 million VND.
Furthermore, according to our sources, the VCS organizers have initiated an investigation into the matter concerning several “top” players suspected of participating in betting activities. This information coincides with the release of messages believed to be related to Dia1 and Yijin shared on social media.
As for Dia1, if this player is indeed connected to the betting activities, a new punishment may be imposed after the VCS organizers gather enough evidence. According to the tournament’s regulations, participating in betting will result in a 2-year ban, and combined with the current penalty, Dia1 could face a 3-year farewell to the professional scene.

Meanwhile, Yijin is currently on the transfer list of SBTC Esports; however, given the current situation, this player is also unlikely to escape a ban if the organizers have enough evidence regarding his alleged betting involvement.
