With the 12.17 patch just updated on the Vietnamese server, TFT Season 7.5 has officially launched. Among the new traits, the Raging Dragon, with its ability to “cheat items,” is being evaluated as extremely powerful and is among the best compositions for climbing ranks at this moment.
The overall strength of Raging Dragon lies in utilizing the “cheat items” ability to generate a massive amount of stats from glorious items, especially the Zeke’s Herald. As a result, core champions of the Raging Dragon like Rengar or especially Aphelios will possess an incredible attack speed without the need for Guinsoo’s Rageblade. So how can we build this composition most effectively? Let’s find out.
In the early game, you can aim for a basic Cannoneer – Knight composition with Sejuani and Rell in the frontline alongside Aphelios and Senna in the backline. Of course, if you haven’t been able to combine Zeke’s Herald, you don’t need to sacrifice Senna as this champion still has a decent amount of damage early on.
Moving into the mid-game, the advice here is to apply the slow shop rotation strategy at level 6. The reason is that you need to upgrade key champions like Rell, Aphelios, or Lillia to at least 2 stars to maintain health and secure a win streak. In fact, if you purchase multiple Aphelios champions, pushing this champion to 3 stars is a crucial winning condition for this composition.
As you reach the late game, you should acquire strong Cannoneer champions like Graves and Zeri to boost Aphelios’s damage. Graves is also a very strong champion at 2 stars, so if you can combine the Knight emblem, you should give it to this champion to increase frontline sturdiness. Additionally, Hecarim is also a strong choice thanks to his area control effect.
For the technological core choices, Fire Bullet and Bounce Back are the best options as they will greatly increase damage for Aphelios and Cannoneer champions. Additionally, the Weak Point Attack core is also a strong choice since the main damage dealt by this composition is physical damage. As mentioned earlier, the technological cores that grant the Knight emblem to Graves are also a good choice in the late game.
Regarding item choices, Zeke’s Herald in the “sacrifice” position of Senna is a must-have item. After acquiring this item, you should look to combine two items – Infinity Edge and Giant Slayer to maximize the damage output of Aphelios. Defensive items like Warmog’s Blood Armor and Stoneplate are also essential for Rell to ensure this champion survives as long as possible.
