When mentioning one of the wealthiest players in League of Legends in Vietnam, we cannot forget SofM. Currently, he is one of the major shareholders of the Vikings Gaming net cafe system. Previously, his time competing in the LPL has provided SofM with significant income. There have been reports suggesting that SofM’s annual salary in the LPL is in the tens of billions per year. Although he does not acknowledge it openly, he has not denied it either. SofM is also referred to as “phú hào” (the rich man) by the LPL audience.
Notably, after returning to Vietnam, SofM has invested significantly in his workspace. However, recently, the “Vietnamese Jungle God” surprised fans when he revealed his current phone. Although only a corner of the phone was shown, it was clear with its two cameras on the back that SofM appears to be using an iPhone 12. While the exact model is not confirmed, it is definitely more than three years old. Even more concerning is the cracked back of the phone, which has multiple lines running through it.

Furthermore, according to a post on SofM’s fan page, his phone is also experiencing speaker issues. Despite the phone being old, SofM has yet to upgrade to a new one, which has surprised many. However, according to his own “self-revelation”, it seems he prefers spending money on games rather than on a new phone, viewing the device as a secondary item.
For those who don’t know, SofM is a player who invests heavily in any game he plays, both in terms of money and time. He has spent so much on games that Lily (SofM’s girlfriend) had to strictly manage his expenses and even locked his card. Besides League of Legends, SofM nearly always ranks high in any game he plays, such as Teamfight Tactics or Naraka Bladepoint. He was even invited to promote Naraka Bladepoint and has a character that looks just like him in the game.
Perhaps for SofM, spending excessively on a phone that is still functional does not seem too necessary. However, with the public revelation of his old phone images, it is likely that SofM will have to consider investing in a better phone in the near future.
