In patch 11.4, Seraphine’s power has become significantly stronger compared to many champions in various roles from mid lane, bot lane to support. Now, let’s explore the strengths of this champion in each position:
Mid Lane
In mid lane, Seraphine remains the champion responsible for supporting teammates with the core item being Moonstone Renewer. Her main playstyle involves safely farming, quickly pushing waves, and roaming when possible. Seraphine’s strength is maximized when she’s with her teammates, so she needs to avoid 1v1 fights with anyone on the enemy team.
Additionally, since Seraphine is in mid lane and there’s another support champion, the team composition needs to include fighter-type champions (top lane and jungle) that are both durable and deal some damage, like Irelia and Udyr—champions that can survive long enough in fights for Seraphine to provide buffs.
Bot Lane
Surpassing all marksmen, Seraphine is currently the champion with the highest win rate in bot lane, even the duo of Seraphine + Senna has a higher win rate than any other duo in the bottom half of the map.
As always, Seraphine’s main role is to buff and deal damage from a safe position, with Moonstone Renewer still being the first item to build. When paired with Senna, as long as they don’t get hit by continuous hard crowd control, this duo will continuously heal, create shields, and disrupt enemies with their long-range abilities.
At this point, Seraphine and Senna should “soften up” the opponents while waiting for their teammates to come down for ganks to secure kills. Additionally, since the team composition lacks a marksman in bot lane, Seraphine’s team will need quality damage sources over time, such as Azir, Lucian, Irelia,… in mid lane to avoid damage shortages.
Support
In the support role, Seraphine is still one of the most viable champions with a pick rate of 42.3% in the ban/pick phase, and when paired with Ashe, Seraphine achieves a win rate of top 2 (only behind Seraphine + Senna) at 55.03%. The main playstyle is poke, trading health, and retreating to heal, while avoiding hard crowd control at all costs (as both Seraphine and Ashe lack escape abilities, getting caught often results in them getting taken out).
At this point, Seraphine gets to “be herself” with a pure support playstyle, focusing on her teammates in team fights, protecting the marksman with her top meta buff skills and items.
Since Seraphine often plays from behind her teammates, she typically brings defensive summoner spells such as Heal, Exhaust, Barrier, Cleanse along with Flash.
