Recently, Riot Games has rolled out a series of major changes to the skills of champions deemed outdated and in need of a comprehensive rework. Overall, the adjustments for Swain, Olaf, Taliyah, and previously Ahri have received extremely high praise from players. Riot has retained the signature skills and mechanics of these characters while making reasonable tweaks to make them stronger and more relevant.

And when patch 12.11 was released for a week, Riot Games continued to announce the next name to receive a light rework in the near future. Specifically, according to the head of the League of Legends champion design team – Riot August, Sivir is the next character they will comprehensively adjust. The person responsible for this rework is Riot RayYonggi, the designer who created the champion Akshan.

Looking at Sivir’s skill set, we can see that the signature elements will include bouncing attacks, blocking enemy skills, and buffing movement speed for allies. It is highly likely that Riot Games will retain the W ability – Spell Shield as it is Sivir’s iconic skill that allows her to clear minions and farm very quickly.
The skills that are likely to be adjusted are her passive and Q ability – Boomerang Blade. Sivir’s passive is too simple as it only increases movement speed slightly when attacking enemy champions, and it doesn’t even activate when dealing damage to minions. Riot might give Sivir additional attack speed when this passive is triggered. As for the Q ability – Boomerang Blade, Riot should consider adding effects to it instead of just dealing damage.

We may need to wait a few more weeks, even months, to discover the first details about Sivir’s rework. With the recent successful reworks, Sivir’s rework is certainly something players are looking forward to.
