With a huge amount of damage and an extremely strong laning ability, Draven is considered a very suitable champion for the solo queue environment. However, his win rate in patch 11.3 is not great, standing at only 49.05%. According to U.gg, Draven is ranked 15th out of 23 in the marksman role.

Recently, the League of Legends community has discovered one of the reasons why Draven is not in a good state as he is now. They found that Draven’s Q – Spinning Axe deals significantly less damage than before. This has caused Draven’s greatest advantage to suddenly vanish completely.

Draven’s Spinning Axe suddenly deals much less damage than before.
As we know, Draven is currently in a relatively bad state. Additionally, I’ve noticed that Draven’s Spinning Axe seems to be bugged, causing it to deal less damage than before. I noticed this while reviewing my stream, where the Q skill seemed to do almost no damage. When I checked the replay, I realized I was right; the damage from this skill is extremely low.

Let me explain. At the beginning of the video, I have exactly 221 AD and 130 bonus AD. Additionally, I have 10 Lethality from the Duskblade of Draktharr, so the physical damage will ignore 8.8 armor (rounded to 9).
Meanwhile, Brand only has a Zhonya’s Hourglass and possesses 117 armor. After calculating the Lethality, Brand is left with 108 armor, meaning he reduces physical damage taken by 52%.
With these stats, Draven’s Spinning Axe should deal at least 198 damage (the exact number is 214.5). However, in the video above, we see that Draven only dealt 141 damage with this skill. This means that Draven’s Spinning Axe has suddenly lost nearly 30% of its damage.
I have checked many times to ensure that no healing sources or damage reduction affected Brand. This makes me even more frustrated because the Spinning Axe only dealt 141 damage. Up to now, I still can’t find the reason for this and can only conclude that this is some sort of bug.

With the damage from the Spinning Axe suddenly dropping like this, this champion has become extremely weak even though theoretically, Draven has not been nerfed. Draven’s advantage lies in his massive damage from the Spinning Axe to finish off enemy champions and earn a large amount of gold with his passive. The aforementioned bug has severely impacted Draven’s power.

Perhaps this issue arises from a bug in the damage calculation algorithm of League of Legends. Hopefully, Riot Games has identified this bug and will find a way to fix Draven in the future.
