Especially since KT Rolster has never been an “easy opponent” (KT previously defeated DK in the opening week of LCK Summer 2021).
With this victory, Faker and his teammates have somewhat lifted the pressure that has been weighing on them for a long time. In an interview, the mid-laner and captain of T1 stated:
“Although my direction differs from what the team members desire, there are aspects where I have fallen short and need to adjust myself a bit more. Additionally, allowing criticisms aimed at my teammates due to misunderstandings is my fault. I also feel guilty for bringing the team’s internal situation into interviews like that. Instead of thinking that the team has internal issues, I hope fans understand that we are trying to work together, and therefore, please support us a little more.”
By personally addressing the situation, Faker not only dispelled negative rumors about internal issues or criticisms aimed at him and the team but also demonstrated the character of a senior and captain during difficult times for the entire team.
