Levi surprisingly ranks “alongside” Faker in a statistic at MSI 2025
With less than a week to go, the first matches of MSI 2025 will officially kick off with the opening games of the Play-ins. With the new format, the representative from VCS – GAM Esports is facing many challenges this season and is unlikely to get past the Play-in stage. However, participating in MSI in Vancouver this year has led to Levi being ranked “alongside” Faker in a pre-tournament statistic.

Accordingly, with his participation in MSI 2025, Levi becomes one of the top 3 oldest players in the list of the 5 oldest players competing in the second-largest international tournament in the professional League of Legends scene. On this list, he is ranked below Kaiwing and of course, Faker – who is the oldest player at MSI 2025. Faker is also the player who has participated in the most MSI seasons to date, having only missed MSI 2018 and MSI 2021 since 2015.

But Levi and VCS’s achievements remain uncertain at MSI
Although he can be considered a veteran player, GAM is also a team that is quite familiar with the international tournaments of professional League of Legends, but Levi and GAM have yet to demonstrate their ability to go far, even in the old format. GAM and VCS’s goals have perhaps always included: trying and creating as many surprises as possible, maintaining a position sufficient to secure 2 spots for Worlds for the VCS region.

However, the latter part is no longer applicable as VCS has merged with APAC at the beginning of the 2025 season. Nevertheless, this merger, along with the not-so-great performance of VCS representatives in the previous regional matches, has put GAM in a difficult situation. Facing the runner-up of Worlds in their opening match, if GAM can secure at least 1 win, it can be considered a success.
