Zeros has finally said goodbye to GAM Esports for the third time in less than three years. However, this farewell may not come with a chance for a return, as GAM now has nothing left to hold onto regarding the Demon King.
In a recent post on his personal Facebook, former GAM Esports coach Tinikun shared many insights about the journey of his star student Zeros in GAM’s colors, which included numerous achievements as well as ups and downs, especially for a player in his early twenties:

One of Tinikun’s most notable shares was about Zeros’ unfinished journey in China. After three explosive seasons with Saigon Buffalo and GAM Esports, the 2000-born star was expected to have the opportunity to test himself in the LPL – the most intense League of Legends tournament in the world, with many Chinese teams eager to acquire him.
The announcement of Zeros’ departure was made by GAM at the beginning of the 2020 season, and fans were eagerly waiting for news about Zeros’ new team, with images and information about his impending move to Victory Five being revealed.
However, ultimately, no official information was released. Zeros disappeared in the first half of the 2020 Spring season and then returned to GAM, marking the end of his LPL dream.

Recounting this story, Coach Tinikun stated that the reason Zeros could not join the LPL was that he was “sabotaged.” A team in the LPL had finalized a contract with Zeros, but they were haggling over travel expenses and visa procedures. By the time the paperwork was completed, Zeros had to look for another team, and that coincided with the pandemic period, during which all sports activities were frozen.
This led to him losing motivation to seek opportunities in the LPL anymore, instead returning to the VCS as we know:
“Returning to the biggest achievement when he came back to GAM the second time, he was supposed to go to LPL, and it was indeed LPL, with several teams interested.
But he was sabotaged, at the time when they agreed to take him in, the contract was supposed to be finalized, and he was supposed to be supported with bank account assistance and everything, which would have been done. But he didn’t get the support, and when it came to finalizing the visa and buying the ticket, it was all set, and he had to go to another team, then when he could go, the pandemic hit, and afterwards he didn’t want to go anymore.
In general, he was flying back and forth several times, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou.
The place that was okay for him, Lok didn’t want to go anymore, while the other team was playing hardball, luckily we also got back several tens of millions for flight tickets and visa expenses for Tran Son.”
In the post, Tinikun also hinted at the identities of the teams that had reached out for Zeros’ trial, with the data “In general, he was flying back and forth several times, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou.” However, just considering Shanghai alone, many professional League of Legends teams such as Dominus Esports, Bilibili Gaming, and even EDward Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix have emerged.
Of course, V5 is also a top name in the “suspect list,” as this is the only team confirmed to have a connection with Zeros, through the images mentioned above and information leaked by Coach Yuna. Nevertheless, everything has become a thing of the past, and perhaps bringing it up only serves to make the fans even more regretful.

Missing the opportunity to join the LPL is a forgettable milestone in Zeros’ career, so it’s no surprise that he is highly determined to help EVOS Esports achieve glory in the 2016 VCS Summer season, with the ultimate goal being none other than the championship of Vietnam’s League of Legends and the ticket to his third Worlds appearance in his career.
