Malphite
Basically, Malphite and other tank champions will be prioritized much more when Marksmen are picked more frequently, as they are the most effective counters. However, the special thing about Malphite is that this “rock” has an incredibly effective skill set against what Marksmen will receive in the upcoming patch.
With items from the Twin Blades granting more movement speed, the percentage slow will be significantly more impactful. Additionally, Malphite’s Q – Seismic Shard increases movement speed based on the amount of slow applied. Thus, the faster the opponent runs, the more Malphite will slow them down and run even faster himself. What could be scarier than a “rock” flying at rocket speed?
Darius
Initially starting as an unusual build, the Darius Twin Blade style is becoming increasingly dominant due to its effectiveness. Darius has always been a champion that relies heavily on movement speed, so any changes to this stat greatly affect him. With the Marksman items, especially the Twin Blade, being adjusted, the biggest beneficiary surprisingly turns out to be Darius.
The only weakness of Darius Twin Blade might be that he won’t be able to build defensive items early. Therefore, if you want to adopt this playstyle, make sure your Darius is ahead in the lane and can dominate the opponent completely.
Yasuo
“The symbol of Vietnam’s rank”, “The unbeatable god”… are some of the flattering terms that League of Legends players use to refer to Yasuo due to his popularity and the engaging playstyle he offers. The special thing about Yasuo is that this champion shares the same critical hit item build with Marksmen, so when this ADC group gets buffs from items, “the god” naturally becomes much stronger too.
Furthermore, Yasuo benefits significantly more from movement speed stats from items compared to Marksman champions. This is because Yasuo is essentially a melee champion with a high base movement speed, so the percentage-based additional speed will have a greater effect on him. Additionally, Yasuo’s passive will also regenerate faster when he has high movement speed. In summary, our “god” will be more mobile and can torment Marksman champions even more with the upcoming update.
