Although he is also Korean, Dopa has “made his career” in China (due to being banned in the Korean server for boosting), and even though he is not a professional player, his reputation is even greater than many other star players in the LPL.
Currently a hugely popular streamer in China, Dopa is often mentioned when fans seek insights or opinions about stars and professional League of Legends tournaments.
One of the topics fans brought up during Dopa’s recent stream was a request for his opinion on TheShy’s decline in performance – Dopa’s close friend – during the recent period.

TheShy had an absolutely terrible performance at the Mid-Season Cup 2020, where he and Invictus Gaming lost all three matches, and he recorded a very poor KDA of 2/18/6.
Regarding this issue, Dopa had no reason to defend his younger brother; on the contrary, he expressed confusion over TheShy’s choice of Top Lucian – a champion that is not very effective in the current meta.
The “Boosting Saint” believes that TheShy’s problem lies in his stubbornness, as he continues to choose a champion that is too weak, putting himself in difficult matchups in 2 out of 3 games at the Mid-Season Cup, resulting in humiliating defeats.

“Top Lucian is really not effective. If I see Lucian top on the enemy team in ranked, I am 100% sure I will win. This is not just a matter of one player; the reality is that Top Lucian is quite useless right now. It has no impact compared to Kalista at all.
In the match between Invictus Gaming and DragonX, Doran’s Wukong was over 100 CS ahead of Lucian but still solo-killed and contributed more to the overall gameplay than Lucian. That’s the clearest evidence.”
Dopa also believes that professional players tend to play champions they have practiced many times, or simply prioritize champions they are comfortable with. Therefore, at certain times, when the meta changes, it becomes difficult for them to adapt quickly when their favored champions suddenly become weak.

TheShy played AD Carry Top for most of the early phase of the Spring Split. At that time, most of these champions were effective, but currently, that is no longer the case.
TheShy is also genuinely facing issues with performance and health. He had previously been ill due to a toothache, and TheShy’s wrist problems are becoming more serious. But above all, the wave of criticism towards this player from the Chinese League of Legends community is spreading, and this is what worries TheShy’s fans the most, regarding the psychological pressure that will weigh even heavier on the shoulders of this young player.
