Since officially taking over and re-releasing League of Legends in Vietnam, Riot has received a wide range of mixed feedback from the player community. This is because they have changed a series of player habits from before to now (events, incentives for players…) and applied a number of new factors to League of Legends, specifically Vanguard as an example. This mechanism was previously applied to VALORANT and has sparked much debate among players. The reason is that Vanguard can sometimes permanently ban a player’s account even for third-party software that has nothing to do with League of Legends.

Recently, the “tragicomic” story of a League of Legends player has stirred the community, garnering much sympathy. According to this player, they have not touched the game for about a year. But upon returning, they found that their account had been permanently banned. Notably, the reason Riot provided was “using third-party software.” Immediately, this player shared their story online, seeking help and received a lot of sympathy from other gamers.

Such cases are not the first time Riot has “wrongly banned accounts rather than letting them slip through the cracks.” However, many believe that if the original email is still in use, they could submit a request to Riot for support in resolving the issue. Nevertheless, this also shows that Riot is still not managing their players’ accounts in the best way and tends to ban any account that is even slightly suspicious and only after a request do they proceed to resolve it.

Currently, the incident is still being discussed among the League of Legends community. Meanwhile, the account owner has not made any further announcements regarding whether their case has been handled or not.
