League of Legends Community Frustrated by Riot’s ‘Endless’ New Post – ‘You Must Fix the Client First’

The League of Legends community seems less than thrilled with Riot's 'long as a Tao Quan scroll' blog about new champion development plans.

Just a few hours ago, Riot Games released an extremely long and detailed post about their future plans for new champion development and reworks. In summary, Riot Games wants to convey that they will carefully consider the power of new champions, such as the fact that some champions will see an increase in win rate after a certain number of matches.

Additionally, the most important information that Riot Games wants to convey to players is that they will no longer create overly powerful new champions or reworks. Instead, these champions will require players to spend time understanding them, and their power will gradually be unleashed as players master the character.

Volibear is the most recent example of this; when first released, he was a bit weak, but after some time, players adapted and he became a constant presence in tournaments and solo queue

However, the League of Legends community seems to dislike overly complex ideas like those proposed by Riot; what they are most looking forward to, such as the design or abilities of new champions, is nowhere to be found. Therefore, it is understandable that players express dissatisfaction, and while some may read through all of Riot’s updates, they are in the minority.

I think the League of Legends team should prioritize fixing the client before anything else. How many videos does Vandiril have to make before you guys realize the problem? Sometimes it doesn’t even allow us to play the game and drives players crazy, resulting in lost ranked points…

Another long, meaningless post about balancing champions. Isn’t Riot wasting too much time on articles like this?

Why we ‘LOVE’ League Client #3

So when will the Sword of the Unknown get nerfed?

I believe one of the issues with the meta is the Tear of the Goddess; all champions that can build Manamune or Archangel’s Staff will become meta champions, including those that didn’t previously build these items.

The problem is, Manamune hasn’t changed at all; it was even a useless item for most champions except Ezreal for a long time. What makes it strong is the Presence of Mind now giving an additional 500 mana.

Perhaps Riot Games should pay more attention to what players truly care about, such as game balance updates, client fixes, game bugs, or unreasonable metas, rather than delving deeply into champion development as they intend to convey. The summer event is also approaching, and Riot should gradually provide information that players care about, like new champions.
