In recent days, a series of troubles have unfolded in the Vietnamese League of Legends (LoL) scene, leaving fans in a constant state of surprise. Following a string of postponed matches for this team, information has emerged that the team is under investigation by the VCS organizing committee as well as Riot. However, the current investigation results are still pending, and fans are eagerly waiting for updates. Additionally, the impact of this situation has forced the Vietnamese League of Legends team for the ASIAD to change its roster.
However, the troubles did not stop there and continued to escalate. On the evening of July 12, a series of messages from an individual considered the media manager of the team caused confusion within the community. This person revealed that many teams in the VCS are in dire straits and could potentially dissolve if the results in the VCS Hoàng Hôn 2023 do not meet expectations.
Nevertheless, the possibility of VCS teams collapsing had been hinted at long ago. Following the above messages, a representative from one of the teams subtly confirmed that the information regarding their team in the messages was inaccurate. Despite this, VCS fans remained skeptical, and by July 13, new troubles had emerged.
Accordingly, the media manager (also from that team) continued to share controversial messages. This individual insisted that after completing the preparations for the team, they would hold a press conference and would use the harshest words to respond to the Vietnamese LoL community. Furthermore, this person even claimed that after the press conference, they would bid farewell to the LoL community.
This information has left the Vietnamese LoL audience extremely outraged. According to many viewers’ arguments, this individual is simply one among countless people who have worked, are working, and will work in the Vietnamese LoL scene specifically and in Esports in the S-shaped country in general. Not to mention, with the team facing allegations of match-fixing, it is not surprising that fans are dissatisfied.
Currently, after the controversial information, this individual has yet to provide any further details or clarifications. Meanwhile, the VCS community continues to engage in debates surrounding the incident.
