It can be said that never in the history of League of Legends Vietnam has there been a season filled with such turmoil as VCS Hoàng Hôn 2023. If players are found to have violated rules and are punished, they will only face severe penalties while the team must pay a fine, with other players remaining unaffected. However, at this moment, the entire SBTC Esports organization is under investigation by Riot and the organizers of VCS. Notably, this is the first year that Riot has taken over and rebooted the VCS tournament from the publisher Garena.

It is worth mentioning that not only fans of this team or the VCS community have spoken out, but even leaders from within the team have made controversial statements. Accordingly, statements leaked from a high-ranking individual within the team have sparked debate among the VCS audience. This person not only revealed that VCS teams are on the verge of dissolution but also expressed intentions to “pressure” the League of Legends community in Vietnam.

On the evening of July 13, another incident involving SE occurred, plunging this team deeper into crisis. Accordingly, Support player Palette unexpectedly posted a message suggesting that he is not involved in the negative issues SE has been investigated for in recent days. However, notably, Palette also stated that he has been kicked out of the gaming house and that the team has not paid him his salary.

Immediately, the VCS community was shaken, and numerous prominent names have called for fans to support Palette. Even Lily (representative and girlfriend of SofM), who rarely comments on VCS issues, has stood by Palette’s side. The VCS community has been continuously sending out hashtags to rescue Palette during this difficult time.

Through these actions regarding Palette, it is clear that SE is now truly a mess. Perhaps, this team has really collapsed, even as the investigation results from the VCS organizers and Riot have yet to be made public to the League of Legends community in Vietnam.
