Hai is a name that is no longer unfamiliar to the Vietnamese fan community. The legend of Cloud9 is not only renowned for his impressive achievements in the professional arena, but he is also one of the players who steers clear of scandals, both in and out of the professional scene.
Therefore, the recent news of Hai being handed a 10-game chat ban by Riot Games took many gamers by surprise. Immediately after receiving the penalty from Riot, Hai posted on his personal Twitter expressing his frustration regarding the issue, as the reason for his ban was that the former C9 captain had attempted to “educate” two teammates who went AFK during a ranked match.

In the chat content, it can be seen that Hai used relatively normal language, with only one instance where he typed the word “sh*t”. However, it is unclear why he was still banned for 10 games due to having a negative attitude.
What frustrates him even more is that he is penalized while the two game disruptors remain unharmed, leading the League of Legends community to criticize Riot Games for their flawed enforcement policies that are misdirected.

In League of Legends today, toxic behavior and negative actions are the most easily punishable offenses, while behaviors like trolling, game disruption, and AFK are often less addressed, despite the fact that many instances of toxicity stem from encountering overly annoying teammates who deliberately negatively impact the game.
Hai’s post immediately garnered a lot of responses from the gaming community, including well-known streamers and personalities like KayPea and Dominate, who also expressed frustration over this issue:

The fact that League of Legends players are penalized for toxicity more than for cases of game disruption has long become an extremely controversial topic within the community. Objectively speaking, we can understand that toxic behavior is the most easily detected and addressed offense, which is why it is understandable that instances of “insulting” are scrutinized more than those with complex violations like trolling and game disruption.
