The LCK documentary clip further angers the community towards T1
Recently, while the first matches of the KeSPA Cup 2025 were starting, LCK also released a documentary clip featuring 4 interviews with players representing 4 teams participating in the 2025 World Championship. Among them, the interview with Gumayusi is the most noteworthy as it provides insights from someone directly involved about a year filled with ups and downs and drama at T1. However, it also reveals that T1 seems to have intentionally used Gumayusi to “create content.”

In Gumayusi’s segment, images of protest trucks and funeral flowers were featured prominently. This indicates that T1 is fully aware that their player is under attack. But instead of addressing the issue, as is well-known, they did nothing at all. With these images appearing in the LCK documentary, which must have been approved by T1, many viewers speculate that T1 might be taking advantage of these attacks to “create content.”

This has left many T1 fans, especially Gumayusi’s fans, extremely frustrated. Of course, everyone understands that if Gumayusi is being attacked, the upper management of T1 must be aware since it is happening right outside their headquarters. However, to the extent that they would use this factor for content without intervening is considered by many to be excessive.
– So they all know, and they intentionally did nothing?
– Now we can talk about this and use funeral flowers, trucks… to create content and drive the narrative
– To create a storyline for Gumayusi, they pushed him down to the bottom and then claimed it was to rise to the top or something like that?

T1 Will Face Pressure
Given what has happened, combined with the fact that Gumayusi has now left, it can be said that T1 is the one under pressure. It is not on the players, but rather on the upper management of this team. Because just one poor result, and the wave of negativity will explode again, and it will be hard for people to forget what T1’s management has done to their superstar.
