At this point, it can be said that the results of the LCK Spring 2024 group stage have become less significant. The audience of the LCK will shift their focus to the playoffs, where the developments and outcomes will be even more critical. Especially after T1 faced defeats in some of the final group stage matches, forcing their players and fans to be less optimistic. Not to mention, Gen.G, KT Rolster, Hanwha Life Esports, and Dplus KIA have all shown how ready they are to challenge.

Simultaneously, as soon as the group stage concluded, a series of individual and team achievements during this phase were announced. Unsurprisingly, Chovy and Gen.G dominated almost all categories for both individuals and teams during the group stage. In the all-star lineup 1 of the LCK Spring 2024, Gen.G occupied all 4 positions, with the only ‘outsider’ being Keria. The T1 Support has performed excellently, and this recognition is well-deserved. The T1 star roster also features in the all-star lineup 2, with Gumayusi appearing in the all-star lineup 3.

However, many viewers have noticed that since LCK Spring 2022, Gen.G has been following a common formula of champions. Specifically, across 5 consecutive LCK seasons to date, the champion team has never occupied the entire all-star lineup of the group stage. In some seasons, the champion didn’t have a single representative in the all-star lineup 1. For instance, T1 in Spring 2022 had Canyon as the ‘outsider.’ Meanwhile, Gen.G in Summer 2022 had Zeus as the outsider, and in Spring and Summer 2023, they didn’t even make it to the all-star lineup 1.

Conversely, teams that occupied all spots in the all-star lineup of the group stage (T1 Spring 2023 and KT Summer 2023) did not become champions afterward. KT even fared worse, as they could only make it to the World Championship that year through the regional qualifiers.

Of course, if we only rely on the all-star lineup or Keria, Gen.G will not be able to win the LCK Spring 2024 title; it is the performance of the players that matters most. Moreover, Keria and T1 will undoubtedly do their utmost to compete with the LCK champions, as well as end their barren run in the domestic arena.
