After the final week of the group stage of LCP 2025 Season Kickoff concluded, MVKE emerged as the top VCS team, finishing in 3rd place. Meanwhile, TSW and GAM ranked 4th and 5th respectively after a tense VCS showdown. This result allowed MVKE to choose between GAM or SHG in the first round of the Qualifying Series, and they opted for the team from the LJL region. This means TSW and GAM will face each other in a “VCS civil war” for a chance to advance.
For MVKE, this is their safest decision as SHG displayed extremely poor performance in the recent group stage. Meanwhile, GAM is still a team with significant experience on big stages, making this opponent choice quite risky. Choosing SHG will likely help MVKE secure an easy victory, allowing them to reach the Semifinals of the Qualifying Series.
Regarding the upcoming “VCS civil war,” this will be the second clash between TSW and GAM in just a short week. Despite having a “great” history with multiple VCS championships, GAM is currently underperforming at the LCP 2025 Season Kickoff. Notably, they have lost to both VCS representatives, MVKE and TSW, in the group stage. Clearly, Levi and his teammates must give their all and fully utilize their experience in the upcoming match if they wish to advance.
In contrast to GAM, TSW has been performing exceptionally well in recent weeks. Along with a flawless fourth week, TSW is also the only team in the recent group stage to have defeated CFO, a strong representative from the PCS region. Therefore, if TSW maintains their current form while GAM shows no significant improvement, the “dolphin army” is likely to emerge victorious in the upcoming “VCS civil war.”
