T1 has a strong chance of advancing early in the Regular Seasons 2025 group stage
Despite a disappointing loss to Gen.G in the previous week, T1 is almost certain to make it to the Road to MSI (or more simply, the playoffs of the current Regular Seasons 2025). They just need to secure a maximum of 2 more wins, and the results of the other matches will no longer matter. Week 8 of the Regular Seasons 2025 could help T1 achieve this goal against two “easier” opponents, BNK FearX and DN Freecs.

Of course, FOX is a team that often causes surprises as they are the second team, right after T1, that can trouble Gen.G this season and have previously made T1 “suffer”. However, in recent matches, FOX seems to have been decoded and lacks the element of surprise. Moreover, T1’s loss came when Gumayusi had just returned. Therefore, this time, T1 is unlikely to give FOX any more opportunities.
However, in another development, HLE will face difficulties while Gen.G also stands a chance of ending their undefeated streak. This only happens if HLE does not make any mistakes in their upcoming match on May 21. As T1 has proven, just a brief moment of error can erase an otherwise perfect game. Especially when Gen.G has shown how well they capitalize on opportunities, even when those chances are only 50-50.

Additionally, Gen.G could also be “shut down” in their winning streak. However, it is important to note that this will have no impact on the position of the MSI 2024 champion. Furthermore, with their early entry into the Road to MSI, it is not out of the question that Gen.G will use the remaining matches to experiment with strategies, especially against strong teams like T1 and HLE, to better prepare for the upcoming crucial phase.
