T1’s Grand Victory, but Coach KkOma’s Attitude Leaves Fans Stunned
It can be said that T1’s debut match in the 2025 Regular Seasons, although facing the weaker opponent DRX, delivered all the excitement that the fans of this team had been waiting for: A cohesive performance, Gumayusi returning and showcasing his best, and Keria finding his familiar playstyle to claim MVP. This was a perfect warm-up for the upcoming intense match against Gen.G. However, the issue arose immediately after regarding Coach KkOma’s attitude.

Specifically, throughout the post-match interview, many T1 fans expressed confusion as Coach KkOma displayed no signs of happiness whatsoever. Even when reporters asked questions specifically focused on Gumayusi’s performance, the renowned LCK coach responded in a vague manner.
“There are always good points and areas that need improvement in a match. I look at the overall performance of the whole team. All the players played well, and we won 2-0. This is something I am very proud of. We will also improve the areas that weren’t stable,” Coach KkOma stated.

Not only Vietnamese fans, but even the League of Legends community in Korea and the West regarding T1 and Gumayusi expressed disappointment with Coach KkOma’s attitude. Whether he praised Gumayusi backstage or not remains unclear. However, even in traditional sports, it is normal for coaches to give direct comments about named players. It is uncertain why the veteran LCK coach is hesitant on this issue.

T1’s Turmoil Might Stem from the Coaching Staff
In the ongoing T1 drama, the coaching staff has almost always maintained a complete silence. The few statements made have often contradicted the reality revealed by Coach KkOma. At this point, it seems that many fans have started to form a line of thought directed towards this team’s coaching staff. If this is true, the storms for T1 may not be over, even if T1 continues to achieve victory after victory.
